   Snowshoe loop of Tamarack and Round Valley in San Jacinto wilderness. 6-12" of powder, some areas with crust, some not. Winds 8mph out of the west with gusts to 30mph measured. Temp 38, RH 15%. Blowing snow.

   Quick pit in Round Valley Meadow:
15cm powder F
15cm crust, 1F to P at bottom
hard ice, don't know how thick, couldn't break it with my shovel.
