Boot/ Ski penetration - crampons only in early AM Precipitation - None Activity, recent avalanches - No Brief description Whumphing noises, shooting cracks. collapsing - no Rapid warming - no Obvious avalanche path - no Terrain trap - no Comment - 6 to 8 inches of consolidated snow in the bowl. Hard upper layer about one inch thick with sugar snow beneath. Some past evidence of "roller balls" in the bowl but nothing recent. 8 to 12 inches of snow on the ridge.
