Observation type - Snowpack
Observer - John Drollinger Keep me anonymous if published - no Location (general area) - Mt. Baldy Bowl Date (yyyymmdd) - 02/27/2015 Time - 3pm Temperature - Very Warm Sky - clear (no clouds) Wind speed - not observed Wind direction - not observed Slope aspect - not observed Activity, recent avalanches - No Comment Very soft snow on Baldy bowl yesterday and very warm (low 60's) with sound of water movement underneath. This coming weekend's storm event is very exciting, but keep in mind, the melt water underneath the snow from last weekend can freeze and create a ground surface for some snow movement. The Northern aspects (stockton flats area) looked treacherous, with howling winds, wind buff and wind drift, and lots of rocks showing. Have fun and be safe!
