Comment
Climbed Mt San Jacinto from Idyllwild. Firm and fast hard packed ice before 11am. Obvious freeze/melting cycles. Slushy in places in the afternoon.

Snow is constant on north aspects to 6700', and patchy on South aspects above 9000'.

Western side of the range is holding more snow than eastern side. Some north aspects are holding slick ice all day. Summit (10,834') has about 19" of snowpack currently.

Crampons/spikes are required. Ice axe is optional.
